Lost in Electric Land

  1. Wayne,

Saw your post on EVTV blog. Brusa is way over priced. If you know the voltage of the system your going to put into your project and the AH rating of the pack then you can purchase an Elcon Charger and have it pre-programmed to do the same thing. Jack actually uses one of those and I have two. They work flawless and stop exactly when programmed to stop.

What kind of a project are you going to do?

    Pete :)

  2. I bought a poorly-converted '73 Beetle. Nicad flooded cells. I wouldn't make it up my hill. I just received 36 100ah Winston cells from China.

I can't do it myself, 'cause I broke my shoulder between ordering and receiving the cells.

The broken shoulder also requires typing with my non-dominant hand. so I try to minimize it.

I have 36 100ah cells, so it will be charging (per Jack's recommendation) at 131.4v until it draws only 5 amps.

Currently I have a Russco SC120-18. I'll check out the Elcon.
